Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has rejected the country’s prime ministerial nominee, a move that draws strong criticism from the Social Democratic Party or PSD. Iohannis gave no reasons for refusing PSD’s choice Sevil Shhaideh who would’ve been Romania's first female and Muslim prime minister. He called on the winners of the recent general elections and their coalition partners to come up with another candidate. PSD leader Liviu Dragnea slammed the president for trying to trigger a political crisis. Dragnea added that his party might consider impeaching Iohannis. Parliament can trigger a presidential impeachment procedure, but it would also need a national referendum. Critics of president’s decision say Shhaideh might’ve been rejected because her Syrian born husband openly supports Syri...

The European aviation giant Airbus will also be reviving Romania’s Puma helicopter line, except with the H215 Super Puma, which Airbus Helicopters is positioning as a competitor to the Mil Mi-171. Pakistan’s domestic defence needs are requiring its industry to refresh its product catalogues in many key areas, such as main battle tanks (MBT), armoured personnel carriers (APC), armo...
